Protect-800 Driveway Alarm

This unique Long Range Wireless Protect-800 Driveway Alarm is supplied with:

2 x Weatherproof Wireless Infrared PIR's.
1 x 2 channel Outdoor Receiver (with fully adjustable output durations).
1 x Bright Security Floodlight.
1 x Loud 118 Decibel Siren.
1 x Long Range Remote Control.

How it Works:

The Battery powered Weatherproof Wireless PIR's (more can be added) can be located up to 800 metres (which equates to around 400 - 600 metres in most applications) away from the Outdoor Receiver.

Protect-800 PIR's

When a person or vehicle passes either PIR a Wireless signal would be transmitted to the Outdoor Receiver, if the Receiver is in the Armed status then the relevant zone would operate the Security Light or Loud Siren (these can be turned off by the owners by using the long range (800 metre) remote control supplied before the time has elapsed.

Protect-800 Outdoor Receiver

The duration of the Light & Siren are both fully adjustable controlled by simple dip-switches inside the Receiver.

Outdoor Receiver Dip-Switches

This allows customers to operate their Driveway Alarm in many different ways, some examples would be:

Siren set to 1 x PIR for a Duration of 10 seconds (so this siren would only operate if this first PIR is activated).
Floodlight set to the second PIR for 10 minutes (so this Floodlight would only operate if the second PIR is activated).
Or both the Siren & Floodlight are connected to both PIR's, but the time duration remains the same (10 seconds & 10 minutes), this would result in the Siren operating for 10 seconds and the Floodlight operating for 10 minutes if either PIR's are triggered.

These duration times are fully adjustable allowing many different scenarios !!

The owners can also trigger the Siren or Floodlights by using the SOS Button on the Remote Control which could be useful in a Medical or Security emergency (more can be added).

Protect-800 Remote Control

If the SOS buttons are pressed the Security Light or/and Siren would latch ON until they are turned OFF using the remote control.

The fully weatherproof Outdoor Receiver is powered by a Plug in 12v Transformer (the cable can enter the box through waterproof glands at the bottom or from the rear panel) and controlled by a special long range (800 metre) Remote Control.

Duration:

The duration of the Security Light or Siren are fully adjustable (by selecting combinations of the internal dip-switches) from 1 seconds to Latched ON, the full list is as below:

1 second or minute.
3 seconds or minutes.
10 seconds or minutes.
15 seconds or minutes.
20 seconds or minutes.
30 seconds or minutes.
Latched ON (until disarmed using the remote control).

Outdoor Receiver:

The Outdoor Receiver has two channels with a 12v Output, each channel can be operated by up to four Protect-800 Sensors, these include:

Remote Control:

The specially designed remote control supplied with this Outdoor Receiver has the following features:

Arm & Disarm either channel on the Outdoor Receiver.
Trigger a optional SOS button which would activate the connected accessories (regardless of if the receiver is disarmed) which could be a Siren, Buzzer, Floodlight or any 12v DC device. This device would latch on until the OFF Button is pressed on any Remote Control paired to the Receiver.

The Remote Control has an intelligent Feedback LED Indicator which confirms that the signal you have sent to the Outdoor Receiver is successful.

Remote Control - Protect-800

Additional Remote Controls can be added (there is no limit).

The operating distance between the Remote Control & Outdoor Receiver is 800 metres (line of sight) which relates to around 400 - 600 metres in most applications. This allows you to Disarm the Receiver before passing through a Protect 800 Detector, or Arming the Receiver after leaving the premises.

Lens Caps:

The PIR's are supplied with 3 Lens Cap Settings which together with internal adjustments allow you to set them to suit your application, these include:

Pencil Beam Attachment: Provides a very narrow Beam to avoid small to medium ground animals.
Medium Beam Attachment: Provides a narrow Beam to avoid most small to medium ground animals whilst detecting Vehicles more efficiently than the Pencil Beam.
No attachment Fitted: Ideal when the detection of Vehicles is most important to you.

Protect-800 Lens Caps

Installation Tip:

We recommend the PIR's are fitted looking away from a rising Sun rather than towards it, if this is not possible then care should be taken when choosing the location and direction of each PIR, this basic principle is the same for most outdoor PIR's.

The PIR's can also easily be hidden inside plastic and wooden structures with some simple imaginative creation to help hide them, the strong 800 metre wireless transmission helps this be possible.

Operational Options:

This PIR's have the unique feature of being able to use the PIR in two ways:

24 hour operation (for use in locations where all day detection is preferred).
Night Time Operation (for use in locations where you only want a working detector during the hours of darkness).

This allows you to perhaps have one PIR operational throughout the day and the second PIR only active during the hours of darkness, or both PIR's either ON or OFF during the day.
