Outdoor PIR for the Wireless Smart Alarms.

Additional weatherproof Outdoor (external) Wireless PIR for use with the complete range of Smart Wireless Alarm Systems.

It is supplied with a unique Protective Rubber Hood which results in a narrow detection pattern (ideal for external applications avoiding false alarms from Cats & Foxes when mounted low and in the horizontal position). The front aperture can easily be widened (by using a knife or scissors) should you want a wider detection area.

It has a detection range of 10 - 15 metres and transmission distance back to any of the control panels of 150 metres (line of sight).

There are two ways to fit this PIR:

• Approximately 1 - 1.5 metre High (hidden away) in the horizontal position.
• High up looking towards the ground (experimenting with the angle so that the PIR doesn't detect small ground animals).

There is a built in 3 minute power saving delay (following each activation), but this can be changed to 15 seconds for applications more worried about a time delay than battery life, powered by a single PP3 battery.

The battery will operate for between 6 - 12 months in most applications (depending on number of activations) and has a built in low battery warning (a slow flashing red LED on the PIR) allowing for timely battery replacement.
